Laboratory
In Zob Ahan Natanz company, with the aim of meeting all the laboratory needs of the company, the following laboratories are created and equipped with the most modern devices to complete the company’s control cycle.
- Instrument calibration laboratory
- Metallographic laboratory
- Mechanical laboratory
- Quantum Laboratory
- Chemistry laboratory (water and oil)
- Non-destructive laboratory
Precision instrument calibration laboratory: Temperature and pressure measuring equipment are calibrated in this laboratory.
Metallography laboratory: : In this laboratory, in cases where there is a need to determine and examine the structure and metallography of the manufactured product or parts of the production line, this work is done by using modern equipment made by the Japanese company Olympus.
Mechanical Properties Laboratory: This laboratory is equipped with three modern universal tensile, bending and pressure testing devices, a bending testing device and a pressure testing device, as well as a hardness tester, so that it performs these tests on the parts of the production lines as needed.
Quantum Laboratory: This laboratory is equipped with 2 quantometric devices made by SPECTRO, Germany, for the analysis of steel in all simple carbon and alloy categories, and it solves the need of all factory units to determine the chemical analysis of raw materials, products and parts of the production line.
Chemical laboratory (water and oil): In this laboratory, the quality of water, oil and grease used in the production lines is examined at the beginning of entering the factory and during use.
Non-destructive testing laboratory: using PT,MT Devices In this laboratory, the healthiness of the parts of the production lines or the parts coming into the factory is tested by non-destructive methods using the PT and MT equipment.
Introduction of integrated chemistry laboratory:
The chemical laboratory of Natanz steel and iron smelting complex consists of a water, oil and chemical laboratory, which, in addition to the analysis required by the complex, can perform analysis from other companies.
A- Water laboratory:
This laboratory performs chemical and microbial analysis of industrial water used in the 500 rolling line and steel factory. Also, the Natanz steel and iron smelting complex, with its sanitary wastewater treatment plant, supplies the water needed for green spaces, so it is necessary to conduct chemical and microbial tests on it.
It is worth mentioning that this laboratory, having a photometer and also performing various titrations, can perform all the tests related to water on a daily and periodic basis.

2- Measurement of pH and TDS 8- COD
3- Alkalinity measurement 9- Identification of coliform
4- Chloride measurement
5- Measuring iron, nitrate, phosphate, copper, etc.
6- Identification of SRB and TBC
b) Oil laboratory:
With its equipment, this laboratory can accurately measure the oil and grease purchased for the complex, as well as the effects of oil on the machines used. In fact, the main task of this department, in addition to confirming the purchased product, is taking care of the oil for proper operation and preventing damage.
In this laboratory, daily analysis and determination of oil life prevented losses.

5- Determining the particles in the oil (sedimentation through a microscope)
6- Determining the refractive index
c) Wet Chemistry laboratory
In this laboratory, by classical method and titration, analysis of raw materials used in iron smelting factory, including sponge iron, ferroalloys and lime, etc. will be measured.
